On December 1st, the New St. Paul’s Hospital Project Team received updated floorplans from PCL Construction for most areas of our new hospital and which incorporate much of the design input teams have provided in recent months.
You may see updated floorplans posted in your staff area or you can view them on EngageNSPH.ca (if you’re asked to sign-in to use the RED Button and your health authority network/computer/remote login.)
These latest floorplans represent the formal 50% detailed design for the hospital which focuses on ROOM LAYOUT. If you have feedback contact your leader by December 10th though some (but not all) of the links below allow you to add your comments onto the floorplan. We must provide our final feedback to PCL by December 21st.

- Critical Care Complex (including a Patient Room and the Patient Garden)
- Eating Disorders Programs
- Education and Learning (including Clinical Skills, Media Services, Conference Room, Learners Lounge and OnCall spaces)
- Emergency (including Triage and Resuscitation rooms)
- Inpatient Units (including a Patient Room and Care Team Station)
- Lab, Outpatient Lab and Morgue (not all floorplans represent the 50% detailed design)
- Main Entrance (Chapel, Volunteer Resources, Foundation offices, Gift Shop, Cashiers’ Office)
- Maternity Centre + NICU (including Antenatal, Low Risk and High Risk SRMC rooms and a NICU Patient Room)
- MDRD
- Medical Imaging
- Mental Health Inpatient Units (including Care Team Station)
- Mental Health Outpatient Clinics (including workstation)
- Pharmacy (Speciality Pharmacy only for now)

The next phase of hospital design – the 70% Detailed Design – runs February to June 2022 and will focus on the placement of equipment, fixtures, fittings; on finalizing headwall design, millwork/cabinetry furniture; and on lighting, electrical, air handling, interior design, flooring and wall finishes.
