Since its start as a 25-bed compassionate care hospital in 1894, St. Paul’s Hospital has undergone countless renovations to meet the needs of the growing Vancouver community. More than 100 years later, we have the opportunity to invest in our future and build a sustainable hospital from the ground up so we can continue serving BC for generations to come.
At Providence Health Care, sustainability is one of our foundational principles in our Mission: Forward strategic plan. We’re living our principles by integrating sustainability in every aspect of the design of the new hospital.
The new St. Paul’s Hospital will be purpose-built and ready for the future: a hospital that is more sustainable, more efficient, and with lower carbon emissions. We’re building a healthier place for people needing healing.
