Consistent with our commitment to social justice, we are continuing to advance anti-racism at Providence, strengthen our efforts in being an organization that prioritizes principles of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and foster a culture of dialogue and inclusion.
Over the past year, the EDI Delivery Team has worked diligently and in partnership with the Medical Staff Association (MSA) and the Indigenous Wellness and Reconciliation (IWR) Team, to begin taking action on Providence’s EDI framework to recognize and eradicate racism in our workplaces.
A key and crucial component of this work is creating opportunities for continual staff learning and engagement.
In the spirit of continuous learning, please join us at the EDI Town Hall hosted by PHC President and CEO Fiona Dalton at 9am on Thursday, Nov. 4.
With presentations by:
• Harmony Johnson, Vice President Indigenous Wellness and Reconciliation
• Rubina Mahal and Dr. Tracy Scott, EDI Co-Leads for PHC
• Veza Global, EDI Consultant for PHC
Learn about PHC’s EDI Work Plan and the important work that we have done so far as well as what is to come. Staff, medical staff and researchers will have the opportunity to ask questions of our panel of speakers and the EDI Consultant Team, as well as provide feedback on our work in this area.
