Pink Shirt Day originated in Nova Scotia, inspired by the act of kindness of two school kids who took a stand against bullying. This day is celebrated across the province to stop bullying in our schools, workplaces, and online.
To show your support, on February 23, 2022:
- Wear anything pink!
- E.g. shirt, pants, scrubs, socks, hair accessory, pin/button
- Let’s connect with our colleagues!
- Many of us have picked up new hobbies and interests, or rediscovered interests from the past. Ask a colleague to share a fun fact about themselves to discover common, interesting, and quirky things about each other!
- Post a picture on the Connect Photo Gallery!
- Post a picture of you, your colleagues or team wearing pink, by sending the picture(s) to connect@providencehealth.bc.ca to be viewable here.
Learning about each other doesn’t have to start and end on Pink Shirt Day – let’s keep the momentum to create a more inclusive space for us all!
Bullying, harassment, discrimination and racism is not tolerated at PHC – please report any incidences at PHCNoBully@providencehealth.bc.ca and a member of the OHS Wellness team will connect with you.
