The Energy and Environmental Sustainability (EES) team distributes an annual survey to all staff within Fraser Health, Providence Health Care, Provincial Health Services Authority and Vancouver Coastal Health.
Through this survey, EES learns more about staff knowledge of planetary health, as well as collects metrics to inform sustainability programs.
Overall, 3,742 staff responded to the survey in 2023, representing various departments, positions and locations across the four health organizations.
The 2023 GreenCare Survey ran from February 27 until March 17.
PHC 2023 GreenCare Survey Key Results
- This year we had 363 responses from PHC staff!
- We found out that 90% of PHC staff agree or strongly agree that climate change impacts their health.
- Additionally, commuting to work by single occupancy gas vehicles has decreased while use of public transit has increased.
