Over the last month, Providence Health Care launched two new Andgo modules, Smart Call and Prebooking, for our staff who currently receive shifts through the Automated Shift Callout (ASC) system. Beginning tomorrow, June 30, PHC will no longer use ASC for short call shift bids – instead, shifts will be offered and awarded through the new Smart Call and Prebooking Andgo modules.

How to Make Sure You’re Set for Using Andgo to Receive and Bid on Shifts

1. Review and update your contact information and preferences!
Please take a few minutes to log into your new online portal and review your contact information and contact preferences for shifts. These settings are available under the notifications tab. The default shift notifications are set for Call and Text notifications. If no changes are made to the preferences, staff will receive both texts and calls for all shifts they are eligible to bid on.

2. Review the Smart Call and Prebooking user guides
Review the Smart Call and Prebooking user guides on our website & watch our How-To Video.

3. Attend an Andgo training!
People Staffing is holding education sessions (employee view) to introduce staff to the new systems, let them know what to expect, and teach them how to change their contact preferences and respond to bids. View the schedule of Education Sessions for Smart Call and Prebooking.

4. Check the “automatically submit for shifts” button’s is turned off when you no longer need it.
If this feature is always turned on, the Andgo system will continuously automatically bid for shifts until unclicked. Please note, all employees are responsible working all shifts they’ve accepted.

5. Take the Employee Self-Assessment Checklist to ensure staff readiness
If you are unable to complete any of the checklist items, please reach out to your Staffing Clerk or email us at andgo@providencehealth.bc.ca

Reminder

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we introduced new Andgo modules. Please note the submission windows for unfilled shifts have changed. We encourage staff to check MySchedule daily for available immediate shifts.
