On June 14 many of you tuned in to watch the Long Service & Mission Awards Virtual Recognition Event kindly made possible by the Mission Integration & Culture and Media Services teams.
The Long Service Recognition Program celebrates our dedicated and long-serving staff and volunteers who have reached significant career milestones. Providence is made up of people whose dedication and passion for health care is evident in everything they do.
This year, in addition to the Mission Awards recipients, Providence Health Care recognized 1,189 staff and volunteers who celebrated long service milestones – this represents an incredible 17,000+ cumulative years of service and includes 171 long service recipients who have dedicated 30 years or more to PHC!
One of the highlights was hearing from three staff members who have dedicated 5, 15 and 30 years of their career to Providence. In the videos linked below, these members of the PHC family share some of their learnings and memories during their time here at Providence.
- 5 years: Sara Parmar, Volunteer Resources Coordinator, St Paul’s Hospital
- 15 years: Brien Gillespie, Volunteer, St Paul’s Hospital
- 30 years: Cornelia Rzeplinski, Registered Nurse, St Paul’s Hospital
While the full recording of the event is viewable online we wanted to take a moment to specifically recognize the recipients of the long service milestones—thank you for all you have done and continue to do!
